Health Canada issued a recall for the Merkury Innovations Hot + Cold Heating and Cooling Fan on April 30, 2026. The recall highlights a significant fire hazard associated with the product, which has been reported to catch fire when connected to a power source.
The model number of the recalled fan is MIC-DHC02. The affected products were sold at Winners, HomeSense, and Marshalls from June 2025 to October 2025. Officials have identified overheating as the cause of the recall.
There have been two reports of the fan catching fire in Canada. Fortunately, no injuries related to the fan have been reported. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled products.
