The worker was electrocuted while working on a chimney near a 14 kilovolt electrical line. He was using a lift platform when the accident happened. A connection formed between the work platform and the 14.4 kV electrical line during his maneuvers.
The CNESST pointed out poor safety management as a contributing factor.
