The 13th annual Boob Tour event in Innisfail raised well over $20,000 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. The event took place on April 15, 2026, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104. Lindsay Taylor, a cancer survivor and member of the Innisfail Kinettes, shared her journey during the event.
“I didn’t want cancer to define me,” Taylor said. Her story resonated with attendees and underscored the importance of community support for cancer research.
The Boob Tour sold 250 tickets at $30 each just three weeks prior to the event. The evening featured stand-up comedy from Calgary’s Dave Nystrom and Edmonton’s Steve Darnell. Nystrom expressed his gratitude: “It’s a cause that touches a lot of people’s lives, almost everybody’s life in one way or another, so I’m really happy to be a part of it.”
This year’s fundraising record reflects a growing commitment to supporting cancer initiatives. Local government officials also noted this trend as significant for community health efforts.
Todd Becker announced his retirement as CAO of Innisfail effective later this year. He has served in that role since August 2017. Mayor Jean Barclay praised Becker’s contributions: “We are grateful for Todd’s leadership and vision over the past nine years.”
Becker previously held a similar position in Rocky Mountain House from 2009 to 2017. His departure marks a change in local government leadership as the town continues its focus on community engagement and health initiatives.
The Boob Tour not only raised funds but also strengthened community ties through shared experiences and support for those affected by cancer.
