Dolly Parton has cancelled her Las Vegas residency because of ongoing health issues. The singer, now 80 years old, shared a candid update on her condition.
Parton stated she is responding well to medications and treatments. However, she mentioned having problems with her immune system and digestive system.
She has been dealing with kidney stones for years. Parton joked about needing to rebuild her ‘engine’ and fix various ‘parts’ of her health.
Parton expressed gratitude for the support she received after the death of her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025. She said, “I will always love him, and I’ll always miss him.”
Despite these challenges, she remains active in her projects. She is working on a Broadway musical titled ‘Dolly: A True Original Musical’.
Parton has been advised by doctors to take it easy due to her health issues. She has been sharing updates about her health on social media.
Parton expressed hope to be back to performance level soon. “It’s going to take me a little while before I’m up to stage-performance level,” she said.
