Nicole Kidman attended the 2026 Met Gala in New York City with her daughter Sunday Rose. This event marked Sunday Rose’s debut on the iconic red carpet.
Kidman wore a striking red sequined gown by Chanel, adorned with feathers. She expressed that red symbolizes love, vitality, and motherhood. “For me, fashion is art,” she stated. “I wanted something red because I wanted to embrace the way in which red has been used in art through the years.”
Sunday Rose, aged 17, opted for a pink Christian Dior Haute Couture gown featuring floral appliques. She shared her excitement about the occasion, saying, “I wanted to symbolize something blooming. It’s my first Met.”
Kidman served as a co-chair for the gala, which had the theme “Fashion In Art.” The annual fundraiser benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
The event took place on the first Monday in May and drew numerous celebrities. Attendees included Beyoncé and Venus Williams.
Kidman’s hair was styled by Adir Abergel, who noted that their looks shared a modern elegance. “Hair became a subtle yet beautiful unifying thread, tying their looks together through a shared expression of modern elegance,” he remarked.
Nicole Kidman shares Sunday Rose with ex-husband Keith Urban. She also has two older children, Connor and Bella, with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Connor is currently 31 years old, while Bella is 33.
