Debbie Harry’s new album ‘High Noon’ may be Blondie’s last. The album serves as a tribute to their late drummer, Clem Burke.
‘High Noon’ is Blondie’s 12th studio album. It is set for release on April 10, 2026. Pre-orders begin on April 27, 2026.
The band produced the album with Grammy winner John Congleton. It features contributions from Johnny Marr and Glen Matlock.
Burke played drums on the album before he passed away in April 2025 at age 70. Debbie Harry is currently 80 years old.
Chris Stein praised the lyrics, stating they are “terrific, very sophisticated, mature, and accessible.” Harry described the sound as a “very traditional Blondie composite of sounds and styles.”
This album follows ‘Pollinator’, released in 2017, marking nine years since their last studio effort. Yet, no official tour dates have been announced for 2026.
Harry and Stein hinted that this might be their final project together. The music industry has seen significant changes since Blondie’s rise in the punk scene during the mid-’70s.
The legacy of Blondie continues to influence rock and roll today. Fans eagerly await this next chapter in the band’s storied discography.
