Into Mischief could make history by siring a record fourth Kentucky Derby winner with his offspring competing in 2026. The race will take place at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 2. Renegade has emerged as the morning-line favorite with odds of 4-1.
Further Ado and Commandment follow closely at 6-1 odds. Chief Wallabee stands at 8-1. The 152nd running of the Kentucky Derby goes to post at 6:57 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Into Mischief has already sired three Kentucky Derby winners: Authentic in 2020, Mandaloun in 2021, and Sovereignty in 2025. If one of his offspring wins in 2026, he will set a record for most Kentucky Derby winners sired.
His current stud fee is $250,000, making him the most expensive stallion in North America for the year. Fulleffort has had seven career races, achieving three wins, two second-place finishes, and one third-place finish.
Silent Tactic is trained by Mark Casse, while Todd Pletcher trains Renegade. The last horse to win the Kentucky Derby from the rail was Ferdinand in 1986.
