A former JPMorgan employee, Chirayu Rana, filed a lawsuit against high-ranking executive Lorna Hajdini in New York County on April 30, 2026. The suit alleges sexual harassment and abuse, claiming that Hajdini drugged him and forced him into sexual acts.
Rana’s allegations surfaced shortly after he joined JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in 2024. He filed an internal complaint regarding the matter in 2025. However, a subsequent internal investigation by JPMorgan found no evidence supporting Rana’s claims.
Hajdini has categorically denied all allegations. “She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind,” her statement said. Furthermore, she has been with JPMorgan since 2011 and is regarded as a top performer.
The lawsuit also names JPMorgan Chase as a defendant for retaliation and failure to investigate the claims adequately. Rana did not report to Hajdini; they were colleagues under different managing directors.
Rana initially filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym ‘John Doe.’ The case briefly withdrew for corrections before being refiled. His accusations included claims of racial abuse and coercion, which have raised additional questions about the validity of his claims.
No trial date has been set for the lawsuit yet. Rana previously worked at several financial firms before becoming a principal at Bregal Sagemount. He allegedly sought millions in a payoff related to this matter.
JPMorgan spokesperson stated, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.” The exact details of the alleged incidents remain unclear and have not been confirmed by independent sources.
The unfolding situation continues to attract attention within the financial services industry. Both parties are preparing for what could be a lengthy legal battle over these serious allegations.
