Amy Grant, the acclaimed singer-songwriter, has faced numerous health challenges since 2020. In 2022, she suffered a traumatic brain injury in a bike accident that left her unconscious for about 10 minutes. Grant’s husband, Vince Gill, has provided her with crucial support during her recovery.

Since 2020, Grant has undergone multiple surgeries. These include open-heart surgery and throat surgery to address a cyst that developed due to the trauma from her accident. She expressed concerns about her future and what her recovery would entail.

Vince Gill encouraged his wife to take life one day at a time. He said, “Amy, life happens to every one of us every day… All you do is you just take the hand you’re dealt that day and live the life that you get.” This perspective has helped Grant navigate her health recovery.

Amy Grant reflected on her journey, stating, “What if this is all I get back? What if this is it?” Her resilience shines through as she continues to recover from depression following her health issues.

In addition to her personal struggles, Grant has three adult children from her previous marriage to Gary Chapman. She and Gill married in 2000 and share a daughter named Corrina, who is now 25 years old.

Amy Grant is set to release a new album titled The Me That Remains on May 8, 2023. The album reflects on aging and resilience while incorporating her experiences after facing significant health challenges.

As she prepares to return to touring in 2023, Grant’s journey serves as an inspiration. Her story highlights the importance of support from loved ones during difficult times.
