BTS to Release New Album and Perform Live Comeback Show
BTS has announced the release of their fifth studio album titled ‘Arirang’, which is set to drop on March 20, 2026. This marks a significant moment for the group, as they have been on hiatus since 2022 due to mandatory military service.
The album will feature 14 songs, including the title track ‘SWIM’, described as an upbeat alternative pop song that explores the theme of navigating life’s turbulent waves. The opening track is ‘Body to Body’, while the album concludes with ‘Into the Sun’.
Following the album’s release, BTS will perform a live comeback show titled ‘BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang’ on March 21, 2026, at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. This concert is anticipated to be a major event, streamed globally on Netflix.
In preparation for the album, BTS members participated in songwriting sessions in Los Angeles, collaborating with renowned producers such as Diplo and Ryan Tedder. Ryan Tedder expressed his excitement, stating, “Was a journey and so much fun working with these guys and an honor to be involved in this.”
BigHit Music highlighted that the album encompasses the identity of BTS and the sentiments accumulated over their journey. They noted, “The album’s 14 tracks share the honest stories BTS has long wanted to tell ARMY, who have been waiting for their full-group comeback.”
The upcoming tour, which will follow the album release, is set to span 34 cities and include 79 shows, making it the largest world tour in K-pop history. The tour will feature a 360-degree stage design, enhancing the live experience for fans.
As of now, 2.4 million tickets have been sold for the North American, Europe, and U.K. tour dates, reflecting the immense anticipation surrounding BTS’s return.
With their first performance as a full group in four years, the excitement among fans, known as ARMY, is palpable as they prepare for this monumental comeback.
