What Happened
Broadway Across Canada has unveiled its 2026–2027 season lineup for the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary, featuring four major touring productions. The season will include & Juliet, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Mrs. Doubtfire, and the return of Hamilton.
Why It Matters
This announcement is significant for the Calgary arts community, as it brings high-profile productions that cater to diverse audiences. & Juliet, which opens the season from September 15–20, 2026, reimagines the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet with a modern twist and a pop music score. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will follow from November 10–15, 2026, showcasing new scenic and costume designs from the original Tony-winning creative team. Mrs. Doubtfire, arriving January 5–10, 2027, adapts the beloved 1993 film into a musical, while Hamilton will close the season from June 15–27, 2027, continuing its international tour.
