Tragic Accident Involves School Bus
A school bus accident in Sainte-Rose-de-Watford, Québec, on March 7, 2026, has resulted in one death and 17 injuries. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM on the Grande-Ligne North road, where the bus was transporting local children.
According to authorities, the bus skidded to the left before overturning, likely due to difficult road conditions. Four individuals sustained serious injuries, including the bus driver, although their lives are not believed to be in danger. Thirteen others suffered minor injuries.
“The children present on the bus were local residents,” stated Sergeant Frédéric Deshaies, providing insight into the community impact of the tragedy.
