FEQ Festival Quebec 2026 Announced
“FEQ is much more than a series of big concerts: itโs a gathering that brings people together and gives back,” stated Nicolas Racine, a key participant in the Festival d’รฉtรฉ de Quรฉbec (FEQ). This sentiment encapsulates the festival’s mission as it gears up for its 2026 edition, scheduled to take place from July 11 at the historic Plains of Abraham in Quebec City.
The 2026 festival promises to be an 11-day multigenre music celebration, showcasing a diverse array of musical styles including pop, rock, country, folk, hip-hop, and reggae. Headliners for this year’s event include renowned artists such as Gwen Stefani, Kesha, and Michael Bublรฉ, alongside alternative rock and indie acts like Muse, Limp Bizkit, and Daughtry.
Louis Bellavance, Vice-President of Content and Artistic Direction at BLEUFEU, emphasized the festival’s commitment to unity, saying, “This year, weโre betting on a decidedly unifying program, carried equally by all of our headliners.” This approach aims to foster a sense of community among festival-goers.
In addition to the major headliners, the festival will feature performances by Jelly Roll and Nate Smith, who will present country music shows. Electronic music fans can look forward to sets by Martin Garrix, while folk and Americana will be represented by The Lumineers and Lord Huron. Hip-hop and dancehall enthusiasts can enjoy acts from Cypress Hill, Shaggy, and Sean Paul.
However, the festival faced a setback when a headliner canceled shortly before the lineup announcement. Bellavance noted, “On a eu un changement de direction involontaire hier, ร 16 h,” indicating a last-minute change in the festival’s programming. Sean Paul and Nate Smith are returning as headliners after canceling their appearances last year, which adds to the anticipation surrounding their performances.
The Plains of Abraham, a significant historical site in Canada, serves as the backdrop for this vibrant cultural event, which has previously hosted performances by major artists like Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and Elton John.
As the festival approaches, details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific reason for the headliner cancellation and the identity of any potential replacement. Nevertheless, the excitement for FEQ 2026 continues to build as fans eagerly await the chance to experience this unique gathering.
