Jets Community Fundraiser
“This support from the Winnipeg Jets is bringing our community together to create more meaningful moments for children in Manitoba battling life-threatening illnesses,” said Andrew Kussy, a representative from The Dream Factory.
The Winnipeg Jets Wives and Girlfriends are set to sell autographed “Lucky Pucks” during the Jets’ St. Patrick’s Day game on March 17, 2026. Each puck will be priced at $25, with proceeds benefiting The Dream Factory, a charity dedicated to helping children with serious health challenges.
In addition to the pucks, three lucky purchasers will have the chance to meet Jets players Josh Morrissey, Nino Niederreiter, or Gabe Vilardi after the game, adding an exciting incentive for fans to participate in the fundraiser.
Current Season Performance
As of March 11, 2026, the Winnipeg Jets hold a record of 26-27-10, placing them sixth in the Central Division. They are currently five points behind the Seattle Kraken in the race for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Jets recently faced a setback, losing 4-1 to the Anaheim Ducks in their last matchup. This defeat has intensified the urgency for the team as they aim to secure a playoff position.
Tyler Yaremchuk commented on the competitive nature of the Western Conference, stating, “In the West, it’s like, alright guys, who wants that eighth spot?” His remarks highlight the tight race among teams vying for the final playoff positions.
Despite the challenges, Yaremchuk believes the Jets may have been underestimated, saying, “I think everyone wrote off the Winnipeg Jets maybe a little bit too early.” This sentiment reflects the unpredictable dynamics of the league this season.
Steve Peters also weighed in, noting, “The reason it’s like this in the West is we had teams penciled in in October, not just in the playoffs, but high in the Western Conference, and that’s the Winnipeg Jets.” This underscores the high expectations set for the team at the season’s start.
Looking ahead, the Jets still have a crucial matchup against the Seattle Kraken on their schedule, which could significantly impact their playoff aspirations.
