MacBook Neo Launches in Canada
Apple has officially introduced the MacBook Neo, a brand-new addition to the Mac family designed to offer a modern experience for under $800 in Canada. The device starts at $799 CAD, with a special price of $679 CAD for Education customers.
The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by the A18 Pro chip, which Apple claims is up to 50 percent faster for everyday tasks than the bestselling PC with the latest shipping Intel Core Ultra 5.
Battery life is a significant highlight, with the MacBook Neo boasting up to 16 hours on a single charge. The laptop weighs just 2.7 pounds, making it a lightweight option for users on the go.
In terms of design, the MacBook Neo is available in four colors: Silver, Blush, Citrus, and Indigo. It also includes three ports: one USB 3 (USB-C), one USB 2 (USB-C), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Equipped with 8GB of RAM, the MacBook Neo can support one external display, catering to both casual users and professionals alike.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo are live now in Canada, with full availability set to begin on March 11, 2026. This launch marks a significant moment for Apple as it aims to provide an unprecedented combination of quality and value.
John Ternus, Apple’s Vice President, expressed excitement about the product, stating, “We’re incredibly excited to introduce MacBook Neo, which delivers the magic of the Mac at a breakthrough price.” Furthermore, Apple’s website highlights the sustainability aspect, noting that the laptop is made with a durable recycled aluminum enclosure that helps it reach 60 percent recycled content by weight, the most ever in any Apple product.
As the tech community anticipates the response to this new offering, details remain unconfirmed regarding potential future models or updates to the MacBook line.
