Since the United States and Israel initiated airstrikes on Saturday, Gulf Arab nations, which are strong allies of the US, have faced attacks from Iranian drones and missiles.
Before the conflict, representatives from Iran declared that all US military installations in the area would be targeted. American embassies throughout the region have issued alerts to citizens, advising them to exercise caution due to increased tensions.

Escalating Regional Tensions
Gulf nations are impacted as Iran persists with its attacks.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced an event on Monday at the port of Bahrain, where a ship was hit by two unidentified projectiles, igniting a fire. UKMTO stated that the blaze was swiftly brought under control, and the crew was safely evacuated. The ship stayed at the port after the incident.
In a related update, the US embassy in Bahrain has issued a caution, indicating that terrorist organizations and individuals influenced by such groups are aiming at US citizens overseas. This advisory came after an event at Salman Industrial City in Bahrain, where debris from a missile interception fell onto a vessel, igniting a fire.
US Military Installations Targeted
One individual lost their life and two others sustained serious injuries in the incident. The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain has verified that the blaze was contained and extinguished.
In Iraq, three armed drones were intercepted and downed over Erbil Airport in the northern region, where US military personnel are located. Security officials confirmed the event but did not provide additional details regarding the drones’ origins or intended missions.
In Dubai, DP World reported that operations at the Jebel Ali port have resumed following a disruption, according to Reuters. This came in the wake of heightened regional tensions and security issues in the Gulf.
Impact on Gulf Arab Nations
The US embassy in Jordan issued a security warning on Sunday, advising American citizens in the region to remain indoors following reports of missiles, drones, or air-to-air missiles detected in Jordanian airspace. The embassy assured citizens that it was closely monitoring the situation and would provide updates regarding security protocols. It also encouraged Americans to remain vigilant for any unusual activities and disruptions in air traffic.
On Monday, Qatar announced that it had intercepted Iranian assaults aimed at civilian facilities, including Doha International Airport. A spokesperson from the Qatari foreign ministry informed CNN that the nation could not permit such aggressions to go unaddressed, emphasizing that Qatar was not currently in dialogue with Iran.
In light of the escalating tensions in the area, the governments of the United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates released a collective statement denouncing the missile and drone assaults by the Iranian regime on sovereign lands.
The declaration labeled the assaults as unwarranted, characterizing them as a perilous escalation that infringed upon the sovereignty of several nations and jeopardized regional stability. The nations reiterated their entitlement to self-defense and praised the successful air and missile defense collaboration that has averted greater casualties and devastation.
